Flowerbowl 2008 in Vancouver, BC ( June 7-8): A huge success
The Okanagan Men's and Women's Ultimate teams (Kelowna, BC) both finished undefeated in the Open and Women's divisions. Congratulations to the Sofa Kings and to Bushfire!
Competition was elevated as teams prepared themselves for the upcoming Nationals and the WFDF Worlds later in the year. There were spirited games as well as brawls. Hmmm, is the UPA going to step up to this one???
Open Elite
Furious over Tonka Truck (TFP men): 15-8.
Tonka hung in well against Furious in the round robin, losing 15-12, and they took it 17-16 in the semi-final vs. Blackfish, while Furious removed Voodoo in the other semi.
Women's Elite
Fury over Riot: 15-10.
Fury beat Traffic and Riot took Great Britain in the semis.
